Horizon Blue runs private events for groups of all kinds. A boat is a different kind of venue — no neighbouring tables, no time limit on the floor, no fixed setting. You bring the occasion; we bring the captain, the boat, the route and the marine life. Below is what most guests book us for, plus the details that matter for getting a quote together quickly.
Birthdays
Half day or full day on Horizon TWO. Bring the cake and the decorations; we’ll bring the marine life. Snorkelling stops at the Daymaniyat Islands, lunch on board, songs at sea — a birthday on the water beats one at a restaurant.

Engagements & Proposals
Some of our most rewarding bookings. We can stage the moment quietly — at sunset, at a chosen reef, or back at the marina — and we’ll keep it secret from your partner if you want. Drop us a note in the booking, the captain will run point.

Parties & Group Celebrations
Hens, stags, anniversaries, milestone trips with friends. Private charter for half day or full day. We’ve done sunset cruises, snorkelling-then-dinner days, even just "park the boat off the coast and swim for four hours" days.
Recommended: Horizon TWO (more lounging space, shade for a long day)
School Trips
Marine education in the best possible classroom. We run school groups out to the Daymaniyat Islands Nature Reserve — sea turtles, coral reefs, the Ministry of Environment’s conservation rules — with the captain narrating along the way. Discounted rates for educational groups; we ask for confirmation from the school.
Recommended: Horizon TWO (room for a class, plus chaperones)
Corporate Team-Building
A day off the laptop and on the water. Snorkelling, light fishing, lunch on board, conversation that flows differently when the office is 18 km away. We can split larger teams across both boats and reconvene for lunch at one of the islands. Tax-invoiced.

Frequently Asked Questions
What kind of events do you host?
Birthdays, engagements and proposals, group celebrations and parties, school trips, and corporate team-building days. We have hosted all of these and can adapt the boat, route and timing to suit. If you have something else in mind, just ask.
How is event pricing structured?
Custom quote based on group size, duration, boat (Horizon ONE or Horizon TWO), and any extras you need (catering, decorations, photographer pickup). Base pricing starts from the standard charter rates — 250 OMR for a 5-hour half day, 350 OMR for a 9-hour full day — plus permits and any add-ons.
Can I bring my own catering, cake or decorations?
Yes. Plenty of guests bring a cake, balloons, a banner or their own catering for birthdays and engagements. Just keep decorations sea-safe (no helium balloons released over water, no glitter, no confetti that ends up in the sea). We can also arrange catering on request.
How big can the group be?
Up to 15 guests on Horizon TWO (our cruiser with shaded cabin — recommended for larger groups). Up to 12 on Horizon ONE (the flagship). For groups larger than 15, we can run two boats in parallel — let us know in your enquiry.
Are events suitable for kids?
Yes — particularly on Horizon TWO with its shaded cabin and more seating. School trips and birthday groups with kids work well; life jackets are provided and required for non-confident swimmers. Plan for hats, sunscreen and lots of water.
How far in advance should I book?
Two to three weeks is comfortable, particularly during peak season (October to May). For school trips and large corporate groups, plan four to six weeks ahead so we can coordinate logistics. Last-minute is sometimes possible — call to ask.
