Effective 14 June 2026. These terms apply to all bookings made through horizonblueom.com, WhatsApp, or our booking partners.

1. Who we are

Horizon Blue (“Horizon Blue Oman”, “we”, “us”) is a marine tourism operator based at Al Mouj Marina, Street 6, Muscat 113, Sultanate of Oman, operating licensed snorkelling tours, private charters and fishing trips to the Daymaniyat Islands Nature Reserve and surrounding waters. Contact: +968 93232 837 (phone/WhatsApp) or horizonblue.om@gmail.com.

2. Bookings and confirmation

A booking is confirmed when you receive a booking confirmation from us — instantly by email and on-screen for online card payments, or by WhatsApp reply for WhatsApp requests. Online payments are processed by Paymob, our licensed payment provider; we never see or store your card details. Prices are charged in Omani Rials (OMR). Any currency equivalents shown on the website are approximate and for guidance only.

For private charters and fishing trips you may reserve with a 50% deposit; the balance is payable on the day of the trip in cash or by card. A deposit booking holds your boat and date exactly like a full payment.

3. Prices, permits and what’s included

Published prices include the licensed captain and crew, safety equipment, snorkelling gear (masks, snorkels, fins, life jackets), refreshments as described on each tour page, and — for the sharing snorkelling tour — the Daymaniyat Islands Nature Reserve entry permit. On private charters, Environment Authority permits (OMR 0.5–3 per person depending on category) are added per guest and collected with your booking; we arrange the permits, you never need to deal with paperwork.

4. Cancellations and refunds

Card refunds are issued through Paymob and typically appear on your statement within 5–14 business days depending on your bank.

5. Punctuality

Please arrive at Al Mouj Marina 30 minutes before your departure time for check-in and the safety briefing. Boats depart on schedule to make the most of your day on the water; late arrival may mean a missed departure, which is treated as a no-show.

6. Safety and conduct on board

7. Daymaniyat Islands Nature Reserve rules

The Daymaniyat Islands are a protected nature reserve regulated by Oman’s Environment Authority. By booking you agree to follow the reserve rules and the crew’s briefing: do not touch or chase marine life, do not touch or stand on coral, take nothing from the sea, and leave nothing behind. Landing on the islands is prohibited during turtle nesting season (May–October) and subject to permit rules at other times.

8. Assumption of risk and liability

Swimming, snorkelling and boating carry inherent risks. We operate licensed, insured vessels with qualified crews and take your safety seriously, but you participate at your own risk and are responsible for assessing your own fitness to take part. To the maximum extent permitted by the laws of the Sultanate of Oman, our liability for any claim arising from a trip is limited to the amount you paid for that booking. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Omani law, and nothing affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Protection Law (Royal Decree 66/2014). Personal belongings are brought on board at your own risk — we recommend leaving valuables ashore and bringing a waterproof pouch for phones. Travel insurance covering water activities is recommended.

9. Photos and videos

Our crew occasionally takes photos and videos on trips, which we may use on our website and social media. Tell any crew member (or note it on your booking) if you prefer not to appear — we will always respect it.

10. Promotions

Promotional codes and resident offers (for example the Al Mouj residents’ discount) apply only to the audience and period stated, cannot be combined with other offers, and may be withdrawn at any time. A promotional price confirmed at booking is always honoured for that booking.

11. Bookings through partners

If you book through one of our hotel, concierge or tour-operator partners, the partner is responsible for the accuracy of the details they pass to us, and their payment terms may apply to you. Everything else in these terms — safety, cancellation windows, reserve rules — applies identically.

12. Force majeure

We are not liable for failure to perform caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including weather, sea state, coastguard or government directives, port closures or civil emergencies. Where a trip cannot run for such reasons, Section 4’s “if we cancel” options apply.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time; the version published on this page at the time of your booking is the one that applies to it.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Sultanate of Oman, and any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Oman. We would much rather resolve any problem directly — message us first and we will make it right.
